Wind is a clean and renewable energy sources and in the last decade, the use of wind energy in the world, has been welcomed by many. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential of wind power stations of Fars province, including Shiraz, Abadeh and Larestan in the period 1990-2005. In this study, to draw the annual wind rose of stations, the Wrplot software was used. Wind discrete data were replaced using the Weibull distribution function. The annual wind power density and other parameters of wind energy at high levels of 10, 20 and 50 meters calculated respectively. To estimate the wind speed at a height of 10 meters, the one-seventh power law model was used. Results showed that the Synoptic Station of Shiraz with wind power density of 584.33 and 1164.27 watts per square meter in 10 and 50 meters in height and placement on the seventh floor of the US Atlantic wind energy, has great potential for wind energy and can be a good place to invest and further study on the use of wind turbines and wind set-up of wind energy. In Abadeh and Larestan stations, due to limitations in the availability of wind hours in wind energy and other parameters, investment in this area, it is not affordable.
